Pressure-induced successive phase transitions and Fano resonance engineering in lead-free piezoceramics KNbO3

چکیده
We carried out detailed high-pressure Raman scattering studies on lead-free perovskite piezoceramics KNbO3 (KNO) with a smaller pressure interval so that the successive phase transition pressures are precisely determined (PO→T: 8.2 GPa; PT→C: 10.9 GPa). The pressure-quenched does not return to ambient orthorhombic completely. In this work, pressure-induced sequence is discussed in detail. Also, based pressure-dependent spectra of KNO, we have discovered clear evidence Fano resonance. It reveals role played by Raman-active continuum and discrete energy states condensed matter system under high enables resonances engineering arbitrary geometries [q∈(−∞, 0)]. These findings highlight opportunity for designing tuning wave transmission optical switch properties KNO via pressure.

Field-induced phase transition and relaxor character in submicrometer-structured lead-free (Bi0.5Na0.5)0.94Ba0.06TiO3 piezoceramics at the morphotropic phase boundary.
Submicrometer-structured (Bi(0.5)Na(0.5))(0.94)Ba(0.06)TiO(3) ceramics ((G) < 720 nm) from nanopowders were studied. The real part of the optimum room temperature set of piezoelectric coefficients obtained from resonances of the BNBT6 dense ceramic disks and shear plates [d(31) = (-37 + 1.33i) pC·N(-1), d(15) = (158.3 - 8.31i) pC·N(-1), k(t) = 40.4%, k(p) = 26.8%, and k(15) = 40.2%] and d(33) (...

The recent review for the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS) by the expert committee, appointed by the European Union, stated that the replacement of PZT “... may be scientifically and technologically practical to a certain degree ...”, although replacement “... is scientifically and technically still impractical in the majority of applications.” Thus, two decades of sustained...
متن کاملEvolving morphotropic phase boundary in lead-free (Bi1/2Na1/2)TiO3–BaTiO3 piezoceramics
The correlation between structure and electrical properties of lead-free (1−x)(Bi1/2Na1/2)TiO3–xBaTiO3 (BNT-100xBT) polycrystalline piezoceramics was investigated systematically by in situ synchrotron diffraction technique, combined with electrical property characterization. It was found that the morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) between a rhombohedral and a tetragonal phase evolved into a morp...
متن کاملPressure induced phase transitions in PbTiO(3).
Recent theoretical simulations using density functional theory (DFT) and novel low temperature high energy x-ray diffraction experiments clearly show the existence of a high pressure morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) in pure PbTiO(3). The experiments show a richer phase diagram than the simulations, with multiple monoclinic phases (Pm and Cm) in the MPB region. In this paper we examine the MPB ...

Some highly unusual features of a lipid-water liquid crystal are revealed by high pressure x-ray diffraction, light scattering and dilatometric studies of the lamellar (bilayer Lα) to nonlamellar inverse hexagonal (HII) phase transition. (i) The size of the unit cell of the HII phase increases with increasing pressure. (ii) The transition volume, ∆Vbh, decreases and appears to vanish as the pre...
